Lunar Eclipse Totality 12x12
A 12x12 inch square image professionally printed on archival paper. It arrives ready for you to mat or frame and hang on your wall. This photo would look great framed in a simple black 12x12 inch square frame as is, or mounted in a 16x16 inch white mat and then framed.
This image shows lunar eclipse maximum during the March 14, 2025 Total Lunar Eclipse. It was red, as expected, but also had a bright blue area at the top that I didn’t expect to see. The color of the moon during an eclipse is determined from the Earths atmosphere, so there was more going on than just the red usually making an Eclipse Blood Moon. The blue adds some fun interest and I think makes this particular Lunar Eclipse more special than normal.
It was so amazing to see, and get to photograph, a full blood moon with stars shining in the sky at the same time. I actually feel like I could see more stars in the sky than I normally can in the area (my backyard). I also feel like the animals were aware something was different/not quite normal. The animal noises got quiet, and then a little frantic before returning more back to normal.
