Each clock was individually handmade and has it’s own unique imperfections.

I hand painted the tips of the black hands white for easy viewing.

I chose a different eclipse phase (from beginning to end) to represent each number.

The totality corona makes up the middle of the clock, and the solar prominence (unique to last April’s eclipse, circles around that, between the corona and number phases. The 12 is the full sun, 1-4 get smaller as the moon covers the sun, 5, 6, and 7 are totality phases of Baily’s Beads and the Diamond Ring, then 8-11 show the sun return as the eclipse ends.

Crafting these clocks, from image creation, to final product, was a labor of learning and love.
